Royal Garden Hotel Guangzhou, Guangzhou

My stay at the hotel was a bit mixed. While the room I was assigned in the B block was spacious but too big for a solo traveler on a business trip, it didn't quite meet my needs perfectly. Service was decent overall, offering amenities like car hire, dry cleaning, and housekeeping. The location was convenient being near the convention center in a bustling part of the city, but there weren't many shops or restaurants for visitors nearby. The dining experience was subpar, with offerings that were rather poor and inedible. On the positive side, the facilities were adequate and met basic needs.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Guangzhou Exhibition Hall in Pazhou, with a metro station just around 100 meters away. The rooms, although needing a coat of paint, are spacious and well-designed. The location offers a vibrant atmosphere with great shopping opportunities, but the area can be crowded and a bit dirty.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room had so much black mould on the walls that the smell was overpowering, but it was clean and tidy overall. The location was convenient for the Canton Fair but a bit far from the Kecun subway station. The dining options were limited and not ideal for international guests.

The hotel offers almost everything you could ask for in the rooms, including a Wi-Fi modem, a mosquito killing machine, and a plug adaptor. However, there was an issue with fungus that can still be verified today. Room 1703, which they claim is standard, lacked air conditioning, a safe, and a bar fridge.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was nice to relax in, surrounded by lush greenery and near the river and canton tower, but it was really too far from the Kecun subway station, making it inconvenient for those attending the exhibition. The dining experience was okay with a mix of Chinese and western items, though the menu could have used a change during my seven-day stay.

The hotel rooms were nicely furnished and well-equipped, with free Wi-Fi, but unfortunately, we encountered too many mosquitoes during our 3-night stay in 3 rooms. The service was efficient and convenient, offering car hire, dry cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry options. The location, although near the Pazhou exhibition hall and Canton Fair, was a bit far from the city center and had some small local shops nearby. The dining experience was decent, with good variety just outside the hotel.

My stay at the hotel was truly enjoyable. The two-level room I stayed in was nicely decorated and pleasant, complete with a comfortable sitting area and a bathroom with a shower. The bedroom on the second level featured a double and a single bed, providing a cozy stay. The hotel's proximity to the Guangzhou Exhibition Hall in Pazhou, with a metro station just around 100 meters away, made it very convenient for my visit.
